Being able to report on the activity in your center is vital to its health, and those reports should show the impact of your services on student success. Accudemia has many reports, which is great for getting the data you need but can make it hard to know which one to pull. Senior Support Specialist Nick Armstrong walked attendees through two of the most useful report types in a Tech Talk session: the Traffic Analysis reports and the Summary Reports.
Traffic Analysis
Unlike a traditional report that shows data in spreadsheet form, the Traffic Analysis report shows statistical views you can use to make decisions about staffing, promotion, and other elements of your center. It consists of many smaller charted reports about your center’s or college’s traffic, with statistics like the average amount of time spent in your center, your most popular services, and the frequency of visits by hour, day, or service.

You reach it by going to Reports from the main Accudemia menu. Open the Traffic Analysis report and use the configuration screen to customize the types of charts you see, the time range, and the location filters, then export in PDF, Excel, or CSV. Keep in mind that a CSV file won’t include the chart images the way PDF and Excel do, but it is the best choice when the data will be imported into another system. Whichever format you choose, the report downloads as a Zip file with the files inside.
Summary Reports
Several reports show a summary of important information, which is very useful when you need quick, digestible data. They are listed separately in the Reports section of Accudemia, under names such as Attendance Summary Report, and they show summaries of things like the total number of visits, by totals and by time. Nick showed off a few of these reports with various filters and in various formats. It is impossible to cover every single report in one session, so if there are specific reports you want to see covered in a weekly session, let us know!
