Class Attendance Software for Colleges and Schools
Instructors call the roll from a phone or computer, or students sign themselves in by QR code, ID card, or RFID fob. Every record lands in one account your administrators report on.
What is AccuClass?
AccuClass is class attendance software for colleges and schools. It records attendance in the classroom, scores it against your own rules, and reports it by student, class, or term.
Engineerica, which has built academic software since 1994, hosts it in the Amazon cloud, so your IT team runs no servers for it. Students sign in and check their own attendance in the AccuClass app for iPhone and Android.
Features
Multiple Tracking Methods
The system supports various attendance-taking methods to suit educational environments, such as QR Code Scanning, RFID Technology, or Manual Tracking.
How AccuClass Works
Add your students and classes the way you keep them today: a CSV export from your student information system, an import that runs on a schedule, or one by one by hand. Then set your attendance rules once.
In class, the instructor calls the roll, or students check themselves in and out with a QR code, an ID card, or an RFID fob.
AccuClass does the rest. It marks each check-in Present, Tardy, Left Early, or Absent, alerts the right people when a student keeps missing class, and keeps every record ready to export. It works the same way for training programs and workshops.

AccuClass Questions and Answers
The classroom screen shows a QR code, and students scan it with the AccuClass app on their own phone. They scan a second code when they leave. The code changes on a timer you set, so a photo of it sent to a friend outside the room only works for a short time. The screen also shows a live count of how many students have checked in.
No. Students without a phone can check in at a classroom computer set up as a check-in station. They swipe their ID card, scan a barcode, tap an RFID key fob, or type their student ID. The instructor can also take attendance for the whole class from a phone or computer.
AccuClass imports students, classes, and enrollment from the files your student information system exports, either when you choose or automatically on a schedule. Staff and students can sign in through your campus single sign-on if it uses SAML, such as Microsoft Entra. The AccuClass team can also build a direct connection on request.
You decide what counts as at risk: a number of absences in one class, absences in a row, or attendance below a percentage. When a student reaches that point, AccuClass alerts the student, the instructor, and anyone else you choose, and administrators get a weekly summary. Different groups, such as student athletes, can have their own rules.
Yes. Any instructor or administrator at a school or college can start a free 30-day account, with no commitment to continue.
