Speakers
Michael Frizell is the Director of Student Learning Services at Missouri State University and the editor of The Learning Assistance Review. He has edited books on learning centers and COVID-19's impact on higher education.
Frizell has served as president of the International College Learning Center Association (ICLCA) and is currently the Vice Chair of the Council of Learning and Developmental Education Associations.
He is also a prolific writer, having authored over 100 comic book biographies for TidalWave Comics, including those of celebrities like Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift, Billie Eillish, Kamala Harris, Travis Kelce, and Stacey Abrams. Last year, he was featured on All Things Considered for his comic book biography of basketball player Brittney Griner.
As a higher-education educator for over 15 years, Correy Hammond has career experiences to help students define, clarify, and achieve their educational and personal goals.
Correy received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from Xavier University and a Master's Degree in College Student Personnel (Higher Education Administration) from the University of Dayton.
He is a business owner, a trainer with over 15 years of experience in leadership development, and the author of iTeach ULearn WeGrow: A Practical Guide for Educators to Help Students Learn, Study, and Be Successful in College. Correy has made it his life's work to help youth and young adults become the best versions of themselves by simply shifting their mindsets.
