What Do You Do With My Information?
At Engineerica Systems, Inc. (“Engineerica”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”), we respect your privacy and take protecting it seriously. This Privacy Policy covers the collection, use, and disclosure of information we collect through our AccuClass website (accuclass.com), which is hosted on newsite.engineerica.com, and our Accuclass cloud service available via accuclass.net. This website and service are owned and operated by Engineerica Systems, Inc. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information. The use of information collected through our service shall be limited to the purpose of providing the service for which our Clients have engaged us.
Here’s what we do — and, more importantly, don’t do — with any information you provide us. This information is organized by your role:
For Institutions Using AccuClass (Clients)
All account information for our Clients is held in strict confidence.
We do not sell or share your information with anyone. We only collect information like your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and billing information so we can provide the services described on our website.
The data you load into the AccuClass service is yours. We will only use this data to deliver the services provided by our system as described on the website. We do not sell, rent, share, or use any contact information you upload to the system.
For Students Tracked with AccuClass
The system allows entering the student’s name, e-mail address, card number ID number, and photo. It also allows entering the enrolled courses with their class schedule. The system is used to track the class attendance. The student e-mail address is used for sending automated notifications such as attendance status. This information is held in strict confidence. We only keep your information so that our Client can track your attendance.
Your information as defined above is entered into the system by our Clients, and we have no direct relationship with you. Our Client can remove your data from our system and update it too. If you would like to update your information please contact our Client directly.
We have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data we process. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, should direct his or her query to our Client (the data controller).
We will retain the personal data we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services to our Clients. Usually, the data is deleted within 60 days of the cancellation or expiration of the AccuClass account. If needed, we will retain and use this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Newsletters
Most of our clients are automatically subscribed to our newsletter. This newsletter offers the latest information about AccuClass and our related services. The newsletter is usually sent out once per month. To subscribe you to our newsletter(s), we will only use your email address to send the newsletter to you. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters, you may follow the unsubscribe instructions contained in each of the communications you receive.
Service-Related Emails
We may also send you service-related email announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. You do not have an option to opt out of these emails, which are not promotional.
Service Providers
We use other third parties, such as a credit card processing company, to bill you for services. When you sign up for our services, we will share your personal information only as necessary for the third party to provide that service.
Legal Disclaimer
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
In the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via email of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
Access To Personal Information
If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete, or deactivate it by making the changes in our software or by contacting us. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Conference Tracker accounts along with their data are usually deleted within 60 days of the account cancellation or expiration.
Security
The security of your personal information and our Clients’ information is important to us. Only two senior developers at Engineerica can access or view your AccuClass cloud server database. They will only access the database to perform maintenance tasks or to troubleshoot and investigate issues.
Data is transferred between your computer and the AccuClass cloud server is not encrypted. The data exchanged between the AccuClass app and the AccuClass server is not encrypted either. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its security during transmission. If this is a concern, SSL encryption is available for an additional fee. Contact us for more information.
The system database is hosted in a US-based server in the Amazon cloud. If you have any questions about security on our website, you can contact us.
