This conference was the first time we’ve ever done it virtually. We had talked about it for a while – and there aren’t many silver linings to this pandemic, particularly in aging services – but it pushed us into the virtual world which is good. Phoebe Ministries has served the older adult population for over 117 years and provides professional development for their care workers and residents through annual events. Because of the pandemic, they worked with Conference Tracker to take their event online in early 2021. In this two-part interview with Stacey Prohaska, Executive Director for the Office of Phoebe Ministries’ Philanthropy Services, we discuss the planning and execution of their successful virtual conference.
