Its verification tooling fits that format, with presence checks and interactive prompts during a broadcast, minimum duration tracking, and certificates that release only when the attendance and evaluation criteria are met.
The trade-offs come from the same webinar-first design. BeaconLive’s own materials state it does not offer a native mobile app and lacks full SCORM compatibility, which matters to organizations that need to import standardized e-learning modules. Its most distinctive capability is regulatory: an ACCME PARS feature set that automates reporting for medical CE providers, a genuinely painful process to run by hand. The platform has no native mobile app, relying on responsive design, and pricing is custom-quoted. For an association whose education lives in an ongoing catalog rather than an annual event, Path LMS is a strong fit; an association whose CE peaks at its conference will find the event side thinner than the course side.
Cornerstone: best for enterprise workforce compliance
Cornerstone belongs in this comparison with an asterisk, and an honest one. It is an enterprise workforce platform, recently rebranded around Cornerstone Workforce AI, whose learning system handles internal compliance at serious scale: automated assignments, certification and renewal workflows, a native mobile app with offline learning, and SCORM, AICC, and xAPI content support across a claimed 140 million users.
What its materials do not claim is accreditation-body CE administration. There is no ACCME, state board, or CEU reporting feature in its published capabilities; external education for association members runs through an Extended Enterprise add-on focused on training customers and partners. Choose Cornerstone when the job is proving your own workforce completed required training. Choose a purpose-built CE platform when the job is awarding accredited credits to outside professionals.
InReach: best for CE programs that outsource the operations
InReach, owned by Jonas Software since 2015, describes its platform as built specifically for CE rather than a generic LMS adapted to it, covering CME, CLE, and CPE programs with automated certificates, part codes for precise credit assignment, and SCORM content support. Its customer list runs through bar associations and professional societies.
What actually distinguishes InReach is the service layer around the software: video editing and production, live event management, and a learner support call center that answers your attendees’ questions for you. Its current positioning spans startups through enterprise programs, with infrastructure claims to match. The model suits an organization that wants CE revenue without building CE operations; a team that wants hands-on control of its own tooling may find the bundled services more than it needs.
