AccuTrack/AccuSQL 2014 – Manually Updating Files

On some WIndows systems, when you try to copy and replace files into your C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files(x86) folder, security restrictions or user access control settings may prevent the operation from completing properly. If your auto-update did not complete properly, then you will need to manually copy the required update files into the folder where AccuTrack or AccuSQL 2014 is installed to complete the update. To do so:

For AccuSQL 2014:

  1. Open AccuSQL 2014, then access Database >> Database Location, then click Next. Look for the Shared Folder. This is the location to your shared folders.
  2. In the Shared Folder location, look for a folder called UPDATES. This folder is where all of the files were stored when the updates were downloaded. Open that UPDATES folder.
  3. Now completely exit AccuSQL 2014 then copy all of the files from the UPDATES folder.
  4. After copying all the files in Step 3, go to the folder where AccuSQL 2014 is installed. The default location for 32-bit operating systems is C:\Program Files\AccuSQL2014 and for 64-bit systems is C:\Program Files(x86)\AccuSQL2014.
  5. In the folder selected in Step 4, copy and replace the files you copied from Step 3.
  6. You can now open AccuSQL 2014 and login as an admin to verfiy you are now updated to AccuSQL 2014 Build 13.0.2. Look in the Title Bar of the AccUSQL 2014 application to verify that.
  7. Congratulations, update complete.

For AccuTrack 2014:

  1. Open AccuTrack 2014, then access Database >> Database Location. Look for the Database Folder. This is the location of your database.
  2. One folder level above that location, is the complete list of AccuTrack shared files and folders. You need to go to that folder level. For example, if your Shared Folder is C:\MyComputer\DataFiles\AccuData, you would want to access the C:\MyComputer\DataFiles folder (one level above the database folder).
  3. In that location, look for a folder called UPDATES. This folder is where all of the files were stored when the updates were downloaded. Open that UPDATES folder.
  4. Now completely exit AccuTrack 2014 then copy all of the files from the UPDATES folder.
  5. After copying all the files in Step 4, go to the folder where AccuTrack 2014 is installed. The default location for 32-bit operating systems is C:\Program Files\Accu2014 and for 64-bit systems is C:\Program Files(x86)\Accu2014.
  6. In the folder selected in Step 5, copy and replace the files you copied from Step 4.
  7. You can now open AccuTrack 2014 and login as an admin to verfiy you are now updated to AccuTrack 2014 Build 13.0.2. Look in the Title Bar of the AccuTrack 2014 application to verify that.
  8. Congratulations, update complete.
