AccuSQL has been a major asset to the tutoring center at Pierpont Community and Technical College. We have been using this product since 2010. This fall, however, AccuSQL really came through for us! Our math department implemented a developmental math redesign beginning in Fall 2012. Because students were required to spend an additional hour per week in a lab/tutoring setting, it was critical that we be able to track tutoring at two locations on our campus. Our campus IT department was able to install AccuSQL on an additional computer in the newly designated math/English lab. Now we can track student usage in two separate campus locations. This has greatly supported our move to math modularization by allowing us to track student time on task.
The AccuSQL support system is wonderful. I have always had great service when I phone the support number. In December, I had an issue and David was extremely helpful in resolving the problem. I have not had the opportunity yet to travel to AccuSQL training in Florida, but David said to call anytime I didn't understand something. I started my job as Director of tutorial Services in Fall 2012 and I had a steep learning curve to understand AccuSQL. As a new user, I found the system very easy to use after a brief training.
Our tutoring center is somewhat unique in that it serves two institutions occupying the same campus. Sister institutions, Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community and Technical College, have peer tutors for all subjects and professional tutors for math and writing. The reporting features in AccuSQL make it easy to generate reports required by the various institutions. It is also easy to determine what services have been used. I use the reports to schedule tutors to cover days/times of high demand.
Again, AccuSQL has been a key component in the math redesign on our campus. I would like to thank you for this opportunity to share information on why we like AccuSQL. Feel free to contact me if you would like additional information.
